- Do I have to sign a contract?
No, you are not required to sign a contract for a standard monthly plan. Customers using Clearstream to host and manage their own dedicated shortcode(s) are required to sign a contract.
- Are there setup fees with a monthly plan?
No, there are no setup fees with a standard monthly (or free) plan. There are also no cancellation fees.
- How do message credits work?
Each outgoing message (messages sent to subscribers/lists, keyword auto-response messages, etc) counts as a message credit. For example, if a message is sent to a list of 100 subscribers, 100 message credits will be used. All incoming messages are free and not deducted from your message credit balance.
- What happens if I run out of message credits?
Message credits are handled differently for paid account and the Forever Free plan. On paid accounts, if you run out of message credits, new subscribers will still be able to join your list, and receive an auto-response confirmation message. Your campaign will not be shut off, nor will you be billed message overages. However, when you login to your account, if your message balance is at or below 0, you will not be able to use your account until you resolve the issue by either upgrading your...
- Do message credits rollover every month?
Monthly plan message credits do not rollover at the end of your monthly billing cycle. Pay As You Go mesage credits (message credits purchased for a one-time fee) do rollover each month, and never expire. Also, Pay As You Go message credits are the last messages to be used each month, meaning that your rollover messages last longer.
- How do I upgrade or downgrade my monthly plan?
You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time by changing your plan level under Plan in Account Settings. Plan changes take effect immediately.
- Can I create a custom plan?
Yes. If you need a custom plan, please contact us.
- How do I cancel my account?
You can cancel your account at any time under Plan in Account Settings. Click “Need to close your account?”. You will have the option to downgrade to the Forever Free plan (in case you want to use it again in the future) or close it.
